Welcome to Steve Mercer Racing

Steve Mercer, motorbike mechanic from Maidstone, is looking forward to 2009 and the exciting challenges ahead.
This year Steve will be riding for thepeoplesbike.com at the Isle of Man TT at the end of May. He will also be competing at Oliver's Mount in April, July and September.
Due to the current financial climate Steve is sad to announce he will not be riding for PDM Racing in the British Superstock Championship this year but hopes to do a wildcard at Brands Hatch in August.
2008 was a year of mixed challenges which saw Steve take a third at Thruxton and first place at Oulton Park in the British Superbike Cup.
Due to the prohibitive cost of running a Superbike, Steve was forced to re-think his options after Brands and following discussions with MSS Discovery Kawasaki entered the National Superstock Championship for MSS Discovery Racing. As well as riding Superstock, Steve also got the opportunity of riding the MSS Superbike at Knockhill.
For the final round of the season Steve was on the Sondel/Power2Connect Yamaha in the National Superstock 1000 achieving a very satisfactory 8th place.
November 2008 saw Steve participate in his first road racing challenge at Macau where he finished a very respectable 12th place.
Steve wishes to thank the continued support from Planet Lazer of Canterbury, Arai, Phoenix Distributions, Apache Customs, Putoline Oil and MBC Despatch.
